2010 CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS

Welcome to the Southwest Decision Sciences Institute Conference
On behalf of the officers and program committee, I would like to welcome you to the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Southwest Decision Sciences Institute in historic Dallas, Texas. The program committee has put together an excellent program with 122 papers and 6 special workshops. Microsoft specialist Bradley Jensen will again present a pre-conference workshop. This year’s presentation will be on Treat Modeling on Wednesday, March 3rd, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. I hope you will find this year’s meeting a pleasant and worthwhile experience as you reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Please attend the annual business meeting and reception at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 4th with SWDSI President Kai Koong presiding.
A number of individuals have made this meeting possible. I would like to thank President Koong for his guidance and support. I would like to thank all the SWDSI officers, the track chairs, and reviewers for their hard work in making this high quality program possible. My thanks to Dr. O. Guy Posey for his expertise and management of the conference proceedings, and to Dr. Carl Rebman for handling CD production and website maintenance. I also want to thank all the session chairs for their participation. My special thanks to Dr. Michelle McEacharn of FBD for her overall guidance and detailed review of the program.
